Paula Abdul may relatively be the kindest judge on “American Idol”, but a recent airplane trip revealed that all that sweetness on TV is all an act.
Abdul, who’s like two feet tall in these pics from the Kid’s Choice Awards, was reportedly demanding first-class treatment on a Southwest Airlines flight from San Jose to Burbank, California. The fact that the airline doesn’t have a first-class section seems to have been lost on the slurring TV judge.
“She asked to be let on the plane and seated first,” an “eyewitness” told the Star. When Abdul was told that only young children, people with disabilities and the elderly were allowed to board early, she reportedly declared, “But I’m famous! I need to go on first!”
Then one passenger who got annoyed by the exchange reportedly dropped the ultimate insult down Abdul’s way, shouting, “‘You’re no Sanjaya,’ eliciting laughter from the others.
Abdul shouldn’t feel insulted by that Sanjaya remark. She should, in fact, be flattered because no matter how untalented Sanjaya, who has just been booted off Idol, has proven to be, he still is more talented singing-wise than this diva of a judge. I mean, have you heard any of her multi-platinum albums?
