Rihanna and one-time abusive boyfriend Chris Brown are currently in the midst of “kissing and making up” as reported by numerous news sources like People.com. While a case is still underway, the two are spending time together courtesy of P. Diddy’s Miami mansion where Rihanna stays away from the spotlight (possibly in the kitchen making Chris sandwiches while avoiding further beatings) while Chris enjoys the sun, water, flexing his “I beat women” muscles and the thrill of writing a new album.
So what are people saying about this? Rihanna’s father is determined to stay by her hard headed daughter’s side:
“I love my daughter with whatever road she takes. I’m behind her win or lose. I will be supportive. If that’s the road she wants to choose, I’m behind her,” Rihanna’s dad Ronald Fenty told Us Weekly from his Barbados home.
Now if only her fans felt the same way:
“All the abusive men are celebrating,” Highroller33138 wrote in a posting on the MTV.com website. “It sets a terrible example for women everywhere. Rihanna really disappointed me.”
”Stupid, really stupid. … I hate women like this,” wrote ladyofthelake in a posting on TVGuide.com.
It looks like people fail to take in account some of the music singles she’s famous for including songs that primarily consist of being in a relationship she just can’t quit despite the need to such as “Rehab” and “I Hate That I Love You.” I guess it’s pretty much safe to assume that that wasn’t just any songwriter writing her addictive beats.
