Cheryl Cole's Euro delight

Cheryl Cole is delighted the England football team didn't qualify for the Euro 2008 championships.

The Girls Aloud singer - who is married to England player Ashley Cole, who didn't play against Croatia on Wednesday (21.11.07) because he was injured - says while Ashley was devastated by the loss, she is delighted because it means she can go on holiday.

Cheryl said: "Ashley is gutted that England didn't qualify so it's not very good at home for me at the moment.

"But I just tell him to get over it and move on because at least now we can go on holiday early.

"That went down like a lead balloon, but I'm pleased we can go on holiday next summer."

Cheryl also revealed Ashley is trying to focus on recovering from his injury so he can play again for Chelsea Football Club.

She added to BBC Radio 1: "He is a Chelsea player so he's got to think about playing for them now and get over England losing."
