Heather Morris, who played the cheerleader 'Brittany S Pearce', performed 'I'm A Slave 4 U', recreating the performance that Spears gave at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2001. Britney tweeted throughout the show and seemed to approve, saying, "Awww Heather Morris is sooo cute! Brittany S Pearce. Ha! She was so fun to work with and was really sweet in person". Lea Michele, who plays 'Rachel', also tackled one of Britney's hit songs, singing 'Hit Me Baby One More Time'.
Britney later posted a picture of a pink TV-shaped cake which she'd been given to congratulate her on the episode, and she added the message, "I loved it! Thank you guys SO much for making this happen!" The show drew an estimated 13.5 million viewers, making it the second most-watched episode of 'Glee' ever, however, UK fans will have to wait a little longer to see the episode, with the new series set to air on E4 in January 2011.
